Compensation
and Benefits

Our salary system includes fixed components that are reviewed once a year as part of the annual performance review. Each member of staff also has a variable pay portion (bonus), which is adjusted twice a year in line with goal achievement. This bonus plan takes into account both SNEU´s performance overall and the person´s individual achievements.

We evaluate and benchmark all of our job roles at regular intervals, not only to guarantee fairness and transparency but also to ensure that we have attractive remuneration packages exceeding industry standards. Within our European organisation, package contents vary according to local markets. An overview for the UK and Germany is given below.

Germany

Paid Time Off - we offer paid public holidays and 30 days paid annual leave (plus up to 4 link days per year).

Flexi-time - depending on your level, hours worked over and above your contracted hours are credited. Hours can be taken within limits at other times.

Pension programs - We offer our employees a direct insurance policy after one year’s service.

Capital accumulation plans - We contribute to individual savings plans.

Length of service payments - Employees receive a bonus on their 10th, 20th and 25th anniversary with the company.

Commuting allowance - Contribution to the cost of the work commute for employees without a company car.

Sports Club Allowance - Contribution to the members fees of a sports club, gym, etc. in order to support our employees in staying healthy.

Accident insurance - for heavy/ deadly accidents.

Restaurant cheques - Distributed to all staff, the cheques can be used in designated canteens, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.

Special occasion payments - We acknowledge meaningful moments in our employees’ private lives with special bonuses for weddings, the birth of a child, etc.

Cycle Scheme - offers leasing of bikes or e-bikes via salary sacrifice.

UK

Paid Time Off - we offer paid public holidays and 25 days paid annual leave (increasing to 27 and 30 days with length of service).

Flexi-time - hours worked over and above your contracted hours are credited. Hours can be taken within limits at other times.

Retirement - the company contributes into a Group Personal Pension plan above the statutory minimum.

Private Medical Insurance - employees are covered by private medical insurance, for which the company pays the premium. This is a taxable benefit. There is the option to increase the cover to include family depending on your own circumstance.

Disability Insurance - income protection in the event that you are off sick for more than 26 weeks. Premium is paid for by the company.

Life Assurance - a lump sum benefit to provide your family with protection should the worst happen. Premium is paid for by the company.

Business Travel Insurance - peace of mind whilst travelling on business.

Subsidised Lunch - at the business park café – The Flying Bean.
